Working and reading

It has been a busy few weeks. From promoting Hunting Mila to finishing up Her Wicked Warrior, I have been busy. Also, I wrote a new erotic vampire serial, the first can be seen in my newsletter blog Melissa’s Boudoir. Now, I have a few months where I can write for print or uncontracted work and I am looking forward to it. I have some contemporaries I’m working on, and a futuristic also. And I am reading. I talk about it a little in my newsletter this month but I love historicals and have delved into reading them. I think I will write a new one, something much more sensual and explicit than The Accidental Countess. I just love that genre, but not sure if it is the right one for me. Still I am going to keep on trying , lol.
I have to give a shout out to Jaymi, Karen Kelley, and Kally Jo for really helping me through a rough week. It is much appreciated, ladies. Oh, and special thank you to the man I live with. Poor man lives in such a girl house, is the stoic German, and has to put up with a houseful of DIVAS. thanks for helping me, babe.
Hunting Mila is here and a surprise for ME

I was surprised to find out that my first Sweet Shoppe book, Tempting Prudence was nominated for a CAPA(Cupid and Pysche Award) by TRS. This is a huge honor, and it made me go all sniffly. Prudence and Jonas are two of my favorite characters. Next month, they will reveal who the winners are:) I am not expecting to win, but I was just so pleased to be included in the erotic novella category!
Next is Mila. It was a long time coming, but Hunter and Mila are finally here. My best bud Kally said this is her favorite so far, and I have to say they were a lot of fun to write. They have a real Tracy/Hepburn thing going on between them. And since Spencer and Kate are two of my favorite actors, I think that is probably some of my subconsious working there. Make sure to check it out at Loose, who is having a HUGE sale right now. 5% off all their ebooks until next week. They are moving the site to a new server(I got a peek this morning at the new site and I do like the way it is organized better) and everyone has to get a new account. So, to pay back their customers for the inconvenience, they are having a sale.
ohhh, and Loowis is in LUV. Check it out on the front page, Loose Id.
