Conquering India: Texas Temptations #1
Caterer India Singer is getting her life on track, hoping to make it big with her new company. She doesn’t need any distractions…especially a younger man. She won’t get involved with another man destined to leave her. But security expert Wade Thompson won’t take no for an answer.
Wade knows exactly what he wants and just how to get it. He’s pulling out the stops because he’s sure India’s the woman for him and his best friend and business partner, Marc Jasper. Marc isn’t too sure and tries to keep India at arm’s length. When a threat to India has her in constant contact with Marc, the lure of the curvy older woman is too much to ignore. But when both men raise the stakes and ask for more than just a fling, will India play it safe to protect her heart, or will she take another chance on love?
Snowpocalypse…it continues

Well, it is nasty. Not as much snow, but the wind, OY! I could not see the street in front of my house. I sent Les out for supplies yesterday so we are doing well. I am spending the time writing. Hands On Training is officially in and I am three chapters deep into The Spy Who Loved Her. The kids are out for the rest of the week, so I will need this to keep my sanity intact.
I was just chatting with The Wicked Writers readers about Daniel, the hero in The Spy Who Loved Her. I am sure you guessed he is a spy, and is, I have found out, a control freak. I should have guessed, but it really does come out around Anna, the heroine.
I am writing this in a combination of my old way of writing and my plotting. I have a plot, the turning points, but I am not allowing for any editing on my part. I will go back and add scenes, but no major editing until I am done.
So, I am off to get some more writing done:) Please, those of you in the path of this storm, please stay safe and warm. Oh, and for your enjoyment:
Morning Update

Well, HOLY CRAP. I mean, I knew it was coming, but to see it in action is just amazing. Remember, I have a LINKS page. They are saying we have another wave of heavy snow before this is all done. My area is reporting about 15 inches as of 5:45 this morning. We measured about two hours ago and it was 16 out front, but we think we probably have gotten about 1-2 inches since then. They are predicting about 5-10 more inches before this is done. The shoveled area is already covered again, but at least we got a little bit done.
Here are a few pics from around our house:

I figured that it would be easier to refer to this later on if I just had one post on it. Most flights have been cancelled at Dulles and National, BWI is operating one runway.
Metro updates – once they measure 8 inches of snow, all above ground stations will close.
and again, we all need a laugh with Wonkette.
If you have any good links, let me know via email or in the comment section.

It isn’t scary blizzard like, no wind, but the snow is already pretty steady. And it is WET.
Here are some pics and after them I’m listing some links for those in the area to keep up with what is going on. You can’t see much here, but I will post pics later on so you can compare:) If you live in the area, email me any pics at MelschroATaoldotcom. I will post them and attribute them to you:)
Snowpocalypse, the sequel

Well, it seems that this MIGHT be worse than the one in December. I am planning on posting during the storm, taking pics, etc. If I am stuck here editing and writing, I might as well let you all know what is going on:). If I don’t kill my family during the weekend of confinement, everything should be okay, lol
I am tagging everything with the snowpocalypse tag, so it will be easy to find.
Oh, and for your viewing pleasure:

SNOW

So, NOVA has been getting blasted with snow this year. Bad for the budges, they are running out of money to clean it up, but I LOVE IT. We only had 5 inches the other day, but we are expecting a HUGE storm this weekend. I got out yesterday and took pics. Belle is part mountain dog, so the girl LOVES the snow. She is going to be thrilled when we get more this weekend. I am off to do some more editing on Hands On Training.
