Breaking out over 2K

Made my personal goal for the day. I would have liked 3K but I know my limitations. I did get all the way to 2057! Depending on things I need to do tomorrow to get ready for my trip, I should be able to put in my official daily goal of 1400. And, there is a good chance that will have the rough draft of the short story done.
It was hard because I was sort of sidelined today by a wadering mind. But, even though I didn’t feel like it, I came home from dinner out with the family and pounded out quite a few words to make my 2K mark.
It will feel so good to be able to set aside this book for awhile so I can get some distance.
Now, I deserve a hot shower, or maybe even a steamy bath, and a good book:)
