So, you will get your pick of some print books, you just have to answer in the comments!

Name a book you have read recently that you would recommend to another reader and why.

I will be picking names out of a hat at noon central.

Mine>
NJ Walters Amethyst Moon. Very fast paced, well-written, with two hunky heroes, you just can’t lose:)

“The Leatherdaddy and the Femme” by Carol Queen. Because it’ll blow your doors off. Creative, uninhibited and very, very hot.

The Darkest Night by Gena Showalter. It’s the first in her Lords of the Underworld Series. It’s a fresh take on demons and the story was sizzling, exciting and very well written.

    Hi Mel,

I’ve read a couple of really good books lately. Maybe I should amend that sentence. I’ve read a couple of books lately, and both have been pretty amazing. I love Harlan Coben and his latest Hold Tight is a serious thrill ride with plot twists and action. You’ll hate to put it down.

I also read A Rush of Wings by Adrian Phoenix. It was mentioned on Wicked Writers as a new paranormal romance so I picked it up. It’s not, it’s urban fantasy with romantic elements. But it’s a FABULOUS read by this debut author. You’ll be yearning for the heroine to bond with the male vampire in the story, wanting him desperately to be her hero. You’ll love her secondary characters and their stories and will be searching the shelves for book 2 once you’re done!

Hm… I FINALLY read Susan Kay Law’s The Bad Man’s Bride–it’s the first book in the “Marrying Miss Bright” trilogy about the three Bright sisters. I actually read them out of order (I read Marry Me first, which is actually book 2, I think), but enjoyed them all just the same. I hadn’t read much historical stuff before this series, and Law’s balance of humor and really strong, interesting, likeable characters hit the spot for me :)
Happy Monday, everyone–thanks for generating more recommendations for the ol’ TBR, Melissa! ;)

Dearly Beloved by Wendy Corsi Staub.

It’s a suspense that will keep you guessing and keep you turning the pages. I haven’t read a book by her yet that I don’t like. :D

Hey Mel…I recently finished rading Trip My Switch by Nicole Austin….it is a menage/BDSM/m/f/m m/m/f…written in first person. The main hero likes to be dominated but also wants a submissive. You won’t want to put it down.

I totally love the paranormal world of Karen Chance. She has three books out in this series, which are definitely not stand-alone titles. If you like vampires, magic, and other supernatural beasties, and laughing while you read, then check out this series.

Yeesh, I figure you might like the names of the books in this series:

    Touch The Dark
    Claimed by Shadow
    Embrace The Night

I would recommend “Silent Run” by Barbara Freethy. It’s full of suspense and adventure.

Hmm… one of the last books that has still stuck with me would have to be the Contemporary Romance ‘Sugar Daddy’ by Lisa Kleypas. I had a love/hate relationship with this book.
I’m an ending reader first… so, while I knew who she was going to end up with, I just hated the fact that I fell in love with both guys, lol. But, this book is definitely on my recommended list. It’s a beautiful story of the heroine’s life and journey to true love :)

In my early reading days, I loved Sci-Fi. Then I discovered romances and HEA’s became necessary for me. The old Sci-Fi didn’t provide that so, off with the old and on to the new.

I just read Poseidon VII by SJ Willing.
I LOVED IT. He brought the Romance back to SF and it was a great read, what I call a real Page Turner. I can’t recommend it highly enough.
