Turning Paige Now ON Sale

This is a book from my Sweet Shoppe Series. There is also a free story, Tempting Prudence, on my site for download. It was the first Sweet Shoppe book and it truly is one of my favorite stories.
Librarian Paige Turner isn’t having the best of weeks. Work has been hell, her sometimes fiancé seems only to pay attention to her when he needs research help, and on top of that, she has been losing sleep thanks to some pretty erotic dreams. So, at the end of the day, one week before St. Patrick’s Day, she stops by The Sweet Shoppe for some Irish Truffles. Before falling asleep, she wishes her dream lover were real. When she wakes up in the morning, she finds out he is.
Seamus can’t remember exactly how he ended up in Paige’s bed. One minute he is in a battle, the next he’s in bed with the woman who has been stealing into his dreams. Instinct has him seducing her before he even knows her name, but soon he is confronted with a strange new world, and the possibility that Paige just doesn’t understand he is her soulmate.
Paige decides to keep her warrior, but soon everything goes awry. Thanks to Seamus, her life is disrupted, her career almost ruined, her wedding cancelled, and she finds herself falling in love with Seamus. But will Paige be able to accept the changes he has wrought, or will her fear of change bring disaster for both of them?
An expanse of golden skin was the first thing she saw. Convinced she was still dreaming, Paige rubbed her eyes and blinked. Her vision cleared. No, that was certainly skin. Drawing in a deep breath, she raised her head.
Well…

Yeah, I am dug in and it is making me cranky.I have a ton of things I want to read, and I have to put it off until I am done. I think I finally have Sexy Devil going in the right direction. Thanks to a lot of help from Kris Cook and Shelley Bradley, not to mention my agent, I finally worked out what I was missing and I think I should be finishing up this weekend. Then, I am spending the week reading. I have In the Flesh, by Livia Dare(AKA Sylvia Day), JR Ward’s and Amanda Quick’s newest books, and I am lucky enough that both Kris and Shelley are letting me read some of their unpubbed stuff. And for all you Shayla people out there, I am going to be reading Delicious, bwahahahaha.
Anyway, I was thinking about my blog and how I neglected it. I need to blog about more than just excerpts and the occasional naked man. I had come up with a schedule before, but the ADD kicked in, as it often does when I try and force myself to do something, and I would constantly forget. I know, not really a surprise.
I have decided I do want to have some scheduled days. One in particular, Wednesday, I am going to devote to writing. If you are an author and want to write something up to promote a recent or upcoming release let me know. Writing Wednesdays will start this week, and I will probably be chatting about plotting. Shelley has taught me her method of plotting(and if you can take one of her online or in person classes, DO IT) and I’ll talk about how that has changed my way of writing.
The rest of the week will be unscheduled, but I promise to blog at least three times a week. And, I will allow for naked men posts also:) If you would like to see as a reader, let me know.
Off to work and do some errands today. Crossing fingers that I can get this off to my agent by Tuesday and just have the synopsis to work. Then I can play with India and her men.
Lookee what I found

I found it on the website:)
Seducing the Saint
The moment he accepts her mission, they discover their passion for each other is still smoldering. Unable to resist each other, their attraction sparks into an inferno that threatens to overpower all rational thinking. Libby and Brady realize they still might have a chance at love and happily ever after. If they don’t get themselves killed first.
Publisher Note: This book was previously released elsewhere under the same title. It has been expanded for Ellora’s Cave.
Hunting Mila
John Hunter can’t refuse a request from his birth father to find his soon-to-be stepsister. But finding Mila means finding trouble because it follows her everywhere. All he wants is to get her back to Earth and get his father off his back. The instant and almost overwhelming attraction to her doesn’t make him any happier.
Mila doesn’t need an overgrown Neanderthal in her way. She has a mission to accomplish. So what if she is a thrill junkie. She does her job, and does it well.
But before she can dump Hunter, her little game becomes more dangerous. Getting Hunter’s help means keeping him around, and doing that makes it impossible for her to keep her hands off him. But even if she does end up in bed with him a few times—okay a lot of times—it doesn’t mean she wants him butting in her business. And that is just what John does best. Uncovering her secrets could get both of them killed…if they don’t kill each other first.

PRAISE FOR THE BOOK
Melissa Schroeder packs adventure, spice and emotion into every story. - Lucy Monroe, Best Selling Author
Melissa Schroeder expertly weaves together strong characters, intergalactic espionage and lots of steamy encounters to sizzle up your day! - Shayla Black, author of Tempt me with Darkness
Melissa Schroeder’s Voices Carry is a print compilation of the three stories in her Federation CTD series which had previously only been available as ebooks. This series is an exciting futuristic look at the world of people who possess paranormal abilities and those who love them. I was easily able to “lose myself” in each of these stories and couldn’t read fast enough. There always seemed to be some new exciting aspect that intrigued me and so I’d keep reading. Before I realized it, I’d read all three stories and couldn’t be happier with the way the series ended. I’ve read several of Ms. Schroeder’s works before and have always found them to be enjoyable. VOICES CARRY is an anthology that I’d highly recommend. - Chrissy Dionne (courtesy of Romance Junkies)
I found myself literally glued to ever page of this futuristic romance, enthralled by the very engaging characters and an interesting and quick paced plot. -Mireya Orsini, Just Erotic Romance Reviews
Voices Carry is one book where the hot rating definitely applies. The central characters come close to spontaneous combustion whenever they come near each other. Melissa Schroeder weaves an interesting plot and gives the reader a good dose of raw sex…if you like to live precariously… Voices Carry is just your ticket into danger. - Jennifer Ray, Road to Romance
Voices Carry is an exceptionally well-written story. Melissa Schroeder has created a whole new world that begs to have more stories set in it… Shana and Marcus sizzle with passion. I highly recommend Voices Carry and hope that there will be a sequel or two. -Nicole, Romance Junkies
Ms. Schroeder has written a sizzling science fiction tale of espionage, telepathy, romance, and hot and heavy sex. Voices Carry is a twelve out of ten, I couldn’t put it down until I found out who the enemy was, and how Marcus would react to Shana’s secret. Ms. Schroeder is quickly making her way onto my list of favorite authors, read Voices Carry and see why… -Ansley, Fallen Angel Reviews
EXCERPT
“Was there a problem with my presentation this morning?” Her voice sounded like a breathy whisper even to her own ears.
The images bombarding her were breaking her concentration. There was nothing specific, but flashes of her ass figured prominently.
Images. She hadn’t had image transfers for close to fifteen years. And now, to have the images he was thinking, laying her on his desk…
He studied her silently, displaying no outward sign of what he was thinking. She shifted in her chair to ease the ache between her legs. Instead, the soft fabric of her suit rubbed against her pussy, heightening her arousal. She shifted again and groaned inwardly. The fabric was damp from her arousal.
Her mind drifted back to her assumption that John Marrow had been the one thinking about her this morning. She couldn’t believe it had been her supervisor. Marcus Carlyle thought she would taste like sin? Blood rushed to her face.
“No, Ms. Adams. I didn’t have a problem with your presentation.” His voice, huskier than usual, sent warmth pooling to her groin. “In fact, it was well done. I have a more serious matter to discuss.”
He keyed his code to his security drawer. It popped open, he pulled out a microfile, and shut the drawer. She drew in a deep breath, trying to calm her heart. Her skin tingled with arousal and her nipples tightened against the fabric of her suit. She cursed herself for not wearing her breast cups this morning.
He straightened and handed her the electronic file. Before she could open it, he stopped her with a warning.
“I have never doubted your loyalty before this moment, but I must have an understanding that everything you read in that is to be confidential. No one in the department can know what you are seeing.”
She nodded and punched in her security code and selected the report. She clicked on the file. Instantly, it projected above the device. As she read about the breaches of security, her stomach knotted. His comments now made sense.
“No one else knows about this?”
“The department heads know to some extent. I’ve tried to keep it quiet.” One corner of his mouth kicked up. “You know I like to filter everything to make sure it doesn’t get out.”
Yes, and it had been the subject of many of their disagreements in the past. “You trust me with it?”
“Every report, every little piece of information you’ve uncovered has never been leaked. No matter how small or how big, it never makes it around the office or to the media before I hear about it. So, I trust you. Plus, I also know you wouldn’t spy. It isn’t in your makeup. You feel as strongly as I do about keeping the Federation safe.”
Warmth filled her at his confidence in her. She read over the report. The breach didn’t follow the usual patterns of the hackers or cyber-terrorists who tended to send viruses and worms to cause disruptions. This was a full scaled attack on some of the department’s most coveted information—the names and locations of their undercover agents, their aliases, and what species they had assumed as their disguises. She glanced up to find him studying the DC skyline as the busy late afternoon traffic whizzed by his twentieth floor window. The sunlight caressed his face, highlighting his chiseled cheekbones and the few gray strands of hair woven within the black.
From the moment she met him, there was something about him that drew her. His suits were tailored to fit the lean muscled body he gained from serving in the Federation’s air corps. It wasn’t just his looks or his gorgeous body that attracted her. There was an underlying sense of self-control to Marcus Carlyle. No matter how many times they’d argued in the last year and a half, he never lost his temper. She’d never heard him raise his voice no matter how heated the argument.
He must have sensed her studying him. He turned to face her, his green eyes dark and serious. She shivered as a wave of hunger swept through her. How could a man who irritated the hell out of her, make her want to jump his bones with just a look?
She cleared her throat. “How much do the department heads know?”
“They know there has been a small breach. No one, except the spy, knows how much knowledge has been gathered.”
Her mind jumped from person to person and then skidded to a halt as a good looking, blue-eyed blond came to mind. “You suspect Mr. Marrow?”
“No, I don’t. He definitely has access, but John isn’t a good liar. There’s a reason he’s been divorced three times. He can be, shall I say, indiscreet when involved with a woman.”
A smiled tipped his lips and the now familiar zing warmed her blood. She must have given her thoughts away because his smile faded and his eyes heated.
He cleared his throat. “What I need from you is some overtime, working on some of the transmissions, analyzing data. If we can figure out who wants the information and has the credits to pay for it, we’ll be able to catch the spy.”
She nodded but said nothing. The air in the room turned warmer, the spicy scent of him filled the air.
“I want to apologize for what happened earlier,” he said, his voice a shade warmer.
Flashes of his thoughts sparked through her mind, through her body. The image of his hands, dark tanned hands against her ivory skin, while he spread her legs and bent his head to lick her clit, sent a wave of wet heat to just that spot. Oh, Lord.
“It’s okay. David tends to be a little overprotective.”
“He’s older?”
He expected her to hold a conversation while he was thinking about doing those things to her? Jesus, she could barely breathe.
“No, I am, but there’s less than a year between us.”
Her voice was deeper than her usual tone. His eyes darkened and the images flickered. So many different ideas, she couldn’t grasp onto one. Hot, wet skin. His voice and hers. Every nerve ending in her body shimmered and tightened. Her blood heated and pulsed between her legs. Her head spun from the barrage of images flashing through her mind.
Something in the way she looked at him must have alerted him to her arousal. A look of pure, unadulterated lust darkened his eyes, and without a word, he rose from his chair and walked around his desk. He stood in front of her, and her gaze was drawn to his raging erection. He took her hand, and pulled her out of the seat. They stood inches apart, his body heat warming her breasts. He placed a hand on the small of her back and eased her closer. His cock pressed into her waist, and she dampened in response.
“Do you know the main reason why I didn’t want to hire you?” he whispered against her ear. She shivered. “I spent the whole interview fantasizing about you, thinking about what you would taste like here,” he said touching her mouth with his callused index finger. “And here.” His finger glided over her erect nipple, passed her belly button, and finally he pressed his palm against her clit. “And especially here.”
Her muscles tightened in anticipation, but he kept his touch feather light. Slowly, his finger brushed over her clit and then pressed slightly against it. She moaned in frustration. He chuckled. She shuddered as the deep rich sound sunk into her bones, warming her from the inside out.
“Marcus, this isn’t a good idea.” But even she heard the surrender in her voice. He pressed harder against her clit and she moved to increase the pressure.
“I’ve never known you to be quite so impatient, Ms. Adams.”
Dark and seductive, his voice was a heated whisper across her skin. He moved his hand from between her legs and cupped her face with both of his hands. The scent of her arousal rose from his hand. Gaining courage, she willed herself to meet his eyes. Fiery passion, so intense it jolted her senses and seized control of her thoughts.
Sizzling images and sounds bombarded her mind. The lushness of the visions–their tangled bodies, hot slippery messy sex, silk sheets–washed over her. He bent his head, keeping his eyes open as he pressed his lips against hers. Never in her life had her gift overpowered her like this. While he nipped at her lower lip, his eyes dared her to break contact, to refuse this intimacy. His hands slid down, brushed the sides of her breasts with the lightest touch, then moved to cup her rear end. Her sex throbbed with need so great she whimpered when he pressed her closer allowing her to feel his long, thick cock.
While he continued the sensuous assault on her body, the images of his fantasies, of his wants and desires, flooded her mind, constantly keeping her off balance. His thoughts continued to overpower her own. Each one more intense than the last, increasing with his arousal.
His tongue darted out, licking at her lips. Without a thought, she opened her mouth to him. The pictures in her mind darkened, growing more vivid as his tongue swept past her lips and into her mouth. Her eyes slid closed in surrender as he took complete possession of her mouth and her mind.

EXCERPT
(c) 2008, Melissa Schroeder
“You’re embarrassed to be seen with me.” He said the words, worried they might be true. He didn’t think Cynthia was prejudiced, but he was in South Georgia, the heart of Dixie. It was different from Honolulu. Her family came from old Southern money, the kind that didn’t like to mingle with people of color—unless they were being served by them. But besides the color of Cynthia’s skin, there was the added problem of her background. She’d been taught to be ashamed of her sexuality. Even as she frowned at him, he slipped his arms around her waist and pulled her to him.
She settled against his chest. Her golden hair contrasted against his dark skin. He drew in a deep breath. The hint of her flowery perfume lingered beneath the scent of sex coating her skin.
“You know I’m not embarrassed to be seen with you. In fact, I would probably gain points for the gossip it would cause.”
He heard the smile in her voice and responded in kind.
She shook her head. “It isn’t being seen with you that would bother me. It is everyone knowing…well, knowing.”
Resting his chin on top of her head, he gently rocked her. “What does that matter? Everyone knew about you and Max.”
The sigh she released was filled with irritation. “Yes, they did. But, you see, I was marrying Max. A Myers doesn’t have one-night stands.”
He heard the scorn in her voice. He hoped it was more for what she’d had to endure than what had occurred between them. Glancing over his shoulder, he located a chair just a few steps back.
“Tell you what,” he said as he walked both of them to the chair. “Why don’t we have breakfast, and then you can go?”
When he reached the chair, he sat, pulling her down with him. She wiggled and crossed her arms beneath her breasts. Breasts he wanted to touch, lick, taste. Since he was nude, he knew she felt his erection. She stilled, looking down at him, her eyes simmering with passion.
“Chris.” She was trying to sound like she disapproved. It wasn’t working. Mainly because he could see the pulse in her neck jump and hear her breathing increase. “You would think…”
She closed her eyes as he grabbed hold of her hips and ground against her. “Think what?” He nipped at her earlobe.
She drew in a shuddering breath. “Chris…”
This time, there was such yearning in her voice it made him want to shout with triumph. She needed him like he needed her and playing fair was off the table. Knowing how sensitive her breasts were, he slid one hand up under her blouse and beneath the fabric of her bra. A few strokes of his thumb was all it took. Her nipple pebbled, and she moaned.
“Come on, chéri. Once more.”
And even though he said it, he silently acknowledged once would never be enough. He’d never felt this connection with a woman, the need to bring her into her own, to teach her the things that would make her complete. He moved his hand to caress her other breast, and she relaxed against him.
“This is our one chance.” He didn’t believe that. He would figure out some way to make it work, even thousands of miles apart. “Why would we not enjoy ourselves?”
She shuddered, her rear end wiggling over his erection. As the blood rushed from his brain, he had to beat back the caveman who said to throw her down and show her just how good they were together.
He slid his hand beneath her skirt. As he skimmed one finger along her slit, he pinched her nipple with the fingers of his other hand. Her gasp was filled with surprise and arousal.
“Chris…”
Her sex was so damp her panties soaked with her passion. She moved with him, her body taking over even if she still harbored doubts.
“That’s it, baby. So wet.”
In one abrupt motion, she pulled away from him and off his lap. He opened his mouth to argue with her, but she shook her head. She settled her hands on her hips, her breath coming out in gasps. Licking his lips, he noticed her nipples pushing against the fabric of her shirt.
“You know, you like to tell people what to do. But I’m not sure I want that.”
Again, his mouth opened in protest, but she touched her index finger to the tip of his cock, spreading around the beads of moisture that had bubbled up. Catching his gaze, she lifted her hand to her mouth, licking her fingers. A simple act, but it was probably one of the most erotic things he’d witnessed in his life. She put her finger between her lips, sucking the rest of the liquid off.
When she finished, she slid her finger out and smiled. “I was right, Mr. Dupree. You are delicious.” Her voice dripped with seduction, arousal, her Southern accent deepening, turning him inside out. He moved to stand, but she stepped forward and placed her hand on his shoulder.
“Uh, uh, uh. Mr. Dupree, I think we are having problems communicating here.” She trailed her fingers over his chest as she walked around the chair. Once she was behind him, she settled her hands on his shoulders, rubbing his tense muscles. “I think for once I should be the one to decide about this. True, you played along with me yesterday, but I don’t know if you suffered enough.”
He wanted to tell her that he had not been playing along. That he understood her need to dominate. She stole any rational thought as she moved her hands to his head, massaging his scalp. Chris closed his eyes and leaned his head back to rest on her breasts.
“You know, I have a feeling you enjoyed yourself last night.”
He chuckled. “How did you guess?”
She ignored that comment. “But you know what? I don’t think you ever told me what you like.”
Her hands skimmed down his face, past his chest and stomach, to his cock. He was held mesmerized watching her elegant, ivory hands contrasting against his darker skin as they moved down his body. Leaning against his shoulder, she draped her body over his and took hold of him at the base.
“It was all about making me happy, which is good. I don’t know if anyone ever thought about that before. But you know what would make me happy?” She nipped at his ear, then licked it.
“What?”
She stroked him again, allowing her thumb to pass over the head. “I want to drive you crazy.”
“You’re doing a good job of it right now, Cynthia.”
She pumped him a few times. Tension gathered along his nerve endings, his body coiling, reaching for the pinnacle. His balls were so tight, he was amazed he had held on this long.
“Not good enough, in my opinion.”
Once more she stroked him, teasing him with the release he needed, then she was gone and walking around the chair again. His body was pulsing, clamoring to reach fulfillment, and she left him. He opened his eyes and found her in front of him. Without a word, she dropped to her knees. She placed a hand on each of his legs and leaned forward. Touching her tongue to the base of his cock, she licked up one side, swiped over the top, and down the other side.
“Sweet. You taste so sweet.” He didn’t miss the excitement in her voice. She made him sound like a tasty confection, one she would relish, lick by lick, until she had completely devoured it.
She wrapped one hand around the base, took him into her mouth. She couldn’t take his entire length, but she did her damnedest. Closing her eyes, she set to work, sucking, kissing, licking him, driving him out of his ever-loving mind. Again, the tension mounted. He curled his toes, trying to hold off. Just as he felt he might not be able to stop his orgasm, she pulled away.
He looked down and almost came at the sight of her tongue darting out over her swollen lips.
“Hmmm.” That was all she said before she leaned forward to lick and suck his balls. Jesus. He’d created a monster.

Well, you knew it would happen, lol. No, I was invited to join Wicked Writers Yahoo Group. It was a hard decision to make because it meant that I had to shut down my other two loops, which will be happening this weekend. But, it will free up my time to write more but still have fun with readers.
We will be running a contest in the near future with lots of goodies on the loop so why not come on over and join in the fun!
